HEP Free Virginia!

In June, VDH finalized Hep Free VA, Virginia’s strategic plan to eliminate viral hepatitis by 2030. Developed in partnership with Virginia HEPC, the Virginia Hepatitis Coalition (VHC), and other state agencies, the plan is a bold step toward improving public health across the state. Hep Free VA aims to ensure that all Virginians have access to high-quality viral hepatitis prevention, testing, and care.

VDH and Virginia HEPC

We’re excited to share that the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) will continue its partnership with VA HEPC for the 2025–2026 funding cycle.

Since our founding in 2018, VDH has been a valued partner and steadfast supporter of our work. Their ongoing commitment enables us to continue our mission to provide access to hepatitis C screening and care across Virginia, while strengthening efforts to educate healthcare teams on HCV testing and treatment.
