Virginia hepc monthly community of practice (cop) online meeting
Ongoing Education for Hepatitis C
Every month, the Virginia HEPC network of clinicians and care teams gather together virtually to stay connected, learn, and support each other as we treat patients with HCV across the state. Everyone interested in learning more about hepatitis C, building their knowledge base, connecting with other sites treating people with HCV, or becoming a part of the HEPC network is welcome to join in. Meeting as a Community of Practice creates our regular touch point, strengthens knowledge and relationships between those of us fighting to eliminate HCV in Virginia.
Our COP meets virtually on the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 4 pm to 5 pm. When that date is a holiday, we will meet the following Wednesday. Register once for the series, then join monthly with the meeting link below.

HEPC Community of Practice (COP) FAQs
What kind of device can I connect on?
You can connect on ipad, tablet, laptop or desktop computer, or on a smartphone to be able to see the slides presented. You may receive an email with a link that you will use to join the call, or you can use the Meeting Link on this page. If your computer does not have speakers or a microphone, you can connect through your computer to see the presentation, and through your phone to hear and speak during the call.
How much does joining the HEPC COP cost?
There is no charge for this series. The Virginia Department of Health has provided a grant to cover expenses associated with providing this resource to expand across Virginia access for treating hepatitis C.
Who should participate in the HEPC COP?
Anyone working towards elimination of hepatitis C. This includes nurses, clinical staff (techs, MA, etc.), clinicians (PA, NP, DO, MD, etc.), and pharmacists. Anyone involved from HCV screening to cure, and helping to provide them with training for their roles in the process is essential to care.
What if I can’t join the call every month?
Attend as many sessions as your schedule allows.
What if I miss a call?
We understand that dedicating time to be present every month can be challenging. We strongly encourage everyone to attend whenever possible. We record COP sessions and you can find them here, COP Galleries.
What if I have more questions after a call?
You will have full access to Virginia HEPC staff assistance and resources. You will be guided and supported in your learning at every step of the way.
