If you suspect or were told you are positive for hepatitis C (HCV) and have recently been released from incarceration without being treated, HEPC can help you connect to treatment now.
The Virginia Department of Corrections (VADOC) is working with HEPC to provide a connection for those with HCV releasing soon that have not yet been treated so they can access treatment on release. HEPC is also providing counseling prior to release, via telemedicine, which includes education about HCV, awareness of the HEPC program and how to contact us when you are ready to pursue treatment.
HEPC can provide assistance in navigating through the medical system to ensure you are linked to a provider that accepts you no matter your insurance status or sobriety needs.
