Virginia HEPC improves access to hepatitis C (HCV) treatment in Virginia through telemedicine for those who face barriers due to geography, stigmatization, sobriety requirements, or lack of insurance and cost.

Virginia HEPC Offers

• Appointments through telemedicine on electronic devices (smartphone, tablet, computer) in your location for HCV treatment

• Education multiple times a year through in-person and synchronous virtual training sessions

• Consultations on an ‘as needed’ basis after training has been completed

• Monthly Community of Practice that include case studies and guest speakers

• A dynamic network made possible through collaboration, communication, and referrals with clinicians and clinics treating hepatitis C throughout Virginia

• Connection to treatment for HCV for people recently released from incarceration and monitoring them throughout the treatment process

What We Have Accomplished

We have built a dynamic network of support and resources for hepatitis C throughout Virginia. This network is made possible through collaboration, communication, and successful referrals to treatment from locations screening for HCV across Virginia. We have increased knowledge and availability of HCV cure and access to treatment.
